Help to Boot my Apple Mac Powerbook G3.?

I have an old Macintosh powerbook G3 computer.It was given by my sister in London before 3 years.She didn't give me any installation cd.it's operating system is Os9.It's not getting boot since last year.If I start the computer, a folder with ? is blinking for some time and it shut down.I don't know what to do.Can anyone help me with this problem.I will be very thankful.I don't know mush about Mac.
