Why do Businesses exist in the first place? whats the whole point of having them in our society and culture?

If Businesses did not exist, and I mean any kind of Business, would we all be Dead? Thats one thing I've never wondered or curious to research about. Can we Humans survive without Business or do we really need it? Just saying that because I hate Businessmen with a Huge Pion, and it's not a matter of jealousy because of money, it's just that I hate how they can be mean, cruel, ruthless, cold-blooded, treat their employees or people unfairly, they only care about Profit, Profit is just as important to them as Breathing, if not more, and they prefer Profits over people.
