Behaviorally, are American Eskimo Dogs basically big Pomeranians?

As with any breed, it takes the right owner to match personalities. Unfortunately I have not had very good experiences eskimos myself. My mom has had several of them which we raised from 8 week old puppies. They tend to get very attached to one person and they HATE everyone else. They have all had very aggressive attitudes which we haven't ever experienced with our other puppies of different breeds. I have never had a pomeranian so I can't compare the two.
