Relativity question about rest m?

The rest m of a fundamental particle never changes over the lifetime of the particle, and is the same for every particle of that type. Relativistic m is due purely to the kinetic energy of the particle. As a particle is accelerated, its kinetic energy increases, but the particle itself doesn't change. The equation represents equivalence, not identity.
